Spring Curriculum Update Feedback

Spring Curriculum Update Feedback

Thank you for attending our spring curriculum update events across the region this term. We really appreciate the time you take to provide us with feedback as this helps us to tailor our future support to your needs. Your feedback this term was overwhelmingly positive, expressing your preference for similar events in future. In particular, your comments indicate that, generally, the length of training is suitable, and that you appreciate the opportunity to speak to colleagues and listen to schools. In addition, your written comments provide us with a clear way forward for supporting with curriculum design. Your comments include reference to thought-provoking discussion, opportunities to assess where you are on your journey, praise for the interactive nature of the TYC and useful resources for professional learning in your own schools. We are very grateful to those schools from across the region who gave up their time to join us this term and look forward to hosting a range of schools over the next phase of curriculum development. We look forward to continuing to work with you in partnership on this exciting and innovative journey of reform.

"Today’s training will impact on learner outcomes - on Monday we adapted the workshop we used on the training to focus on the Health and Wellbeing Core purpose. We started with Pam mae hynny'n bwysig?' This led all of us, TAS and Staff to consider society and what society looks like e.g. pressures, mental health, physical activity opportunities to support our pupils to become healthy adults who are not/less of a future drain on the NHS. We mind mapped our ideas and led us all to realise we now have the opportunity to plan what the children in our school need for the future and not for the past. For someone who has been in education for 30 years I am really excited that we will be free to meet the needs of our pupils especially those who call us 'my second home'."
