Physical Literacy and the Health and Well-being AoLE

The Health and Well-being AoLE is ‘physical literacy informed’. The International Physical Literacy Association define physical literacy as an individual having ‘the motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge , and understanding to value and take responsibility for engagement in physical activities for life’.

ERW are working in partnership with Gethin Mon Thomas to deliver professional learning in physical literacy for all practitioners. Gethin lectures in physical literacy at the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences, Bangor University and was involved in the design of the Health and Well-being AoLE

Gethin is delivering training in 2 parts:

  • Physical Literacy Awareness Training (2hr)
  • Progressing with Physical Literacy – unpacking the concept (3hr)
