Gold Medal Winner for Art at the National Eisteddfod 2019
We are delighted that one of our colleagues, Daniel Trivedy, who has been working with schools in the region on the Lead Creative Schools Scheme is the Gold Medal Winner for Art at the National Eisteddfod 2019. Daniel, who studied Fine Art at Swansea College of Art and is a lecturer in Creativity and Contextual Studies at Coleg Sir Gar has now sold the winning artwork to the National Museum of Wales.
His work, Welsh Emergency Blanket, is an ongoing series of work that responds to the proposal for Wales to become the first Nation of Sanctuary. The work was started in Summer 2018 and is in line with the trajectory of work that questions the origins and ramifications of our psychological relationship to others.
