A Message from the Education Endowment Foundation: Supporting our most disadvantaged learners in these unprecedented times
Becky Francis, CEO of the Education Endowment has written an open letter to schools on the disadvantage gap and the practical steps that can be taken to minimise the damage that this period of school closures could have on our learners. The letter asks schools to consider the role of the families and carers in home education, the challenges that could bring and the how the schools and teaching staff can provide support.
Over the next few weeks the EEF will be sharing some new and revised guidance for schools and families and carers and looking at what support they can provide during this challenging time.
The letter can be found here and the full toolkit and guidance reports can be found at www.educationendowmentfoundation.org.uk
The Times Education Supplement have also put together a great list of resources to help families and carers with home schooling and this can be found here
